Frequently Asked Questions
1 / How do I get started?
To get started with or learn more about our psychotherapy or assessment services, contact us and we'll schedule a FREE, 15 minute consultation to gather information about your interests and needs.
2 / I've had my initial consultation call for therapy, what now?
Based on fit and availability, one of our providers will reach out to you via email/phone to discuss next steps. If appropriate, a 60-minute intake session will be scheduled to initiate care. This first session will involve a meeting virtually with a psychologist to discuss your history, symptoms, and therapeutic goals. We use semi-structured interviews to accurately determine mental health diagnoses and provide the most effective recommendations. In addition, you'll have the opportunity to ask questions about our therapeutic approach and collaboratively create a treatment plan. If, for any reason, we do not feel as though you would be a good match for one of our psychologists, you’ll receive trusted referrals and coordination of care.
3 / I've had my initial consultation call for assessment, what now?
Our psychological assessment services are completely confidential and scheduled according to your availability. You will meet virtually with one of our licensed psychologists to complete a comprehensive test battery tailored to your needs. Based on the assessment type, these can range from 2-4 hours of assessment and a 1 hour feedback session. We offer psychodiagnostic assessments for determining the presence of mental health diagnoses and providing subsequent recommendations; neurocognitive assessments to screen for various cognitive concerns like dementia or traumatic brain injury (TBI); and personality assessments for assessing personality traits that may be affecting your mental health. We do not offer ADHD assessments or full neuropsychological evaluations at this time.
